Rising From the Ashes - Happy New Year!

When devastation becomes deliverance, ashes from the past can become the foundations of the future. - Paige Bradley

Expansion, by Paige Bradley

I recently stumbled upon Ms. Bradley's website and art via Creating Wings, and became instantly entranced by her work and her words. One piece hit me so hard it moved me to tears, and while I certainly cannot afford the actual sculpture of Home, (much as I would really really like to!) I can and did allow myself to splurge and buy a print of it so that I can frame it and hang it in my bedroom. In MY VERY OWN HOME.

The devastating past becoming the foundation for the newer future. Fitting words for the end of a tumultuous, loving, joyous, sorrowful, adventurous, frustrating, challenging, happy, and ultimately amazing chock full of life year.

Here's to rising from the ashes phoenix-style and expanding into bigger and better loving and joyous versions of ourselves in the coming year. (And per Maggie, here's to eating more donuts too!)

Happy New Year!

Nancy, Happy New Year!

Isn't she amazing? I bought a print of Home, and once I hung it in my bedroom couldn't stop admiring it, walking in and ou of the room, laying on the bed to stare at it - it makes me so happy and just belongs in my home and in my room. I love it when a piece speaks to you, in my case I feel like it sings straight to my heart.
