That sentence evokes a HUGE BEAMING SMILE OF JOY from me. The happiness meter has been off the charts lately. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY. Seriously. I break out into random dancing for joy unexpectedly these days. (Insert break for jumping and dancing here.)
While I consider all of the things on my Life List important, this one seems to qualify as more of a 'big-ticket' item, and its now crossed off. Although it seems like 'crossed off' is not quite the right way to categorize it, since it feels like a whole new adventure has just begun.
Ah, nothing says Home like a dog bed, hardwood floors, and tools.
Ingrid was quite upset when the boxes came out for packing, but has done quite well now that we've been in the house for a full week. She's gotten lots of treats and attention, and even a new dog bed to add to the many she already has. Yesterday was a rare sunny day so she hung out with me in the yard while I picked up apples and pears and tossed them into the compost bin.
The grass delights her - she will occasionally throw her very large body on the ground, roll over onto her back, and wriggle back and forth, legs flying, tongue lolling, grunts erupting joyously.
Since it's still in the unpacking phase, everything is a mess, but slowly coming along. No pictures for a while. I do love my new pink Apollo toolbox. Apollo donates 50 cents of every purchase to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Cute and functional tools, and help a good cause? Done.
One more good link today in honor of working on Life Lists. Head over to Mighty Girl for an awesome giveaway, as well as some inspiration for things to add to your own Life List. It ends next Thursday, October the 13th at midnight, so what are you waiting for?
